The Costa Blanca has some of the finest beaches in Spain. (it is not known as the white coast for nothing) with over 40 of the beaches awarded with blue flag status.
You will find many beaches here to choose from, all equipped with all the facilities you would expect. Jet ski hire, sun lounge hire and beach bars set up throughout most of the year.
A short drive north of Torrevieja, you will find the pretty Spanish town of Guardamar which boasts 17 kilometors of protected natural beach with the finest golden sand. Well worth a visit if you want to top up your tan or take a dip in the med. There are coffee shops and café/restaurants directly facing the beach serving good food should you fancy a spot of lunch in between sun bathing.
Follow the road down from La Zenia roundabout in La Zenia and you will arrive at La Zenia Beach. This well known beach has been popular with holiday makers and expats for many years now and is the most visited beach in the area.
Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca , Punta Prima, Calas Capitan & Mil Palmeras are just a few beaches in the area that you can enjoy throughout the year. For directions to all the beaches, or anywhere else you want to visit during your stay, then go to a tourist information office where you can pick up a free map of the Orihuela Costa, which will direct you to where ever you want to go.
